WHO WE ARE
Pointcare health services is a specialist healthcare agency that works alongside many rest homes and hospitals within your community. We also work with private clients to assist with specialist care at home, particularly palliative care.
With a large network of highly trained professional nurses, healthcare assistants and clinical staff, we have a range of skills that can complement almost any situation or environment.

We have a wide range of healthcare professionals available who are skilled in all aspects of care.
We have a special relationship with local hospices, District Health Boards and other specialist care providers. This close relationship allows our staff to keep up-to-date with best practice and helps smooth your care journey.
We will endeavor to fit around you as best we can. Our staff are extremely flexible and their experience means they can aid in advising you in making care related decisions.
We do request that no shifts are less than four hours. This is in fairness to our staff and allows time for us to do what we do best and provide you with quality care.
We like to take a personal approach to providing care and build strong relationships with all our clients.. Furthermore, we keep things simple – no strange charges or complicated rates that are difficult to understand.

OUR SERVICES
Our personal care services allow our clients to live independently within their home by assisting them with their daily routine tasks (ie. transfers in/out of bed, personal & oral hygiene, bathroom assistance, etc.).
Our certified and experienced live-in and live-out caregivers provide person-centered care. We extensively match patients’ needs with competent and compassionate caregivers.
Many family members of our clients’ have told us they feel reassured knowing that their loved one has a member of our staff providing them with companionship services; it allows them to know that someone is “there” with their loved one, when they can’t be.
Our extensive registry of nursing personnel specializes in various areas of common homecare patient delivery such as: Medication Administration, Wound Care, Intravenous Therapy, Pain Management, Chronic Disease Management/Therapy, Respiratory Care, etc.
If you are providing care for an elderly loved one, it can be both an emotional and physically demanding job, especially if you’re doing it alone. Respite Support services provide short-term relief to the primary caregiver; which allows them to attend to their other responsibilities and personal obligations. It is important to remember, finding regular assistance/support AND maintaining your own health are VITAL to performing your role as a primary caregiver.

We are dedicated to developmental services that promote the health and well-being, life skills, and personal empowerment of people with developmental disabilities, mental health, and addiction. Developmental service workers have knowledge and skills, in both theory and practice, in the fields of social service, education, and health.
In a variety of community contexts, our staff provides help to individuals and their families across all age groups and ethnicities.
Our services are specialized, individualized and specific to the person we are supporting; goal oriented
utilizing an evidence-based approach; data based with measurable outcomes. ABA trained support
workers follow an evidence-based system of understanding and addressing behavioural challenges and
teaching critical skills, enabling greater independence, participation in the community and overall
quality of life for the individual.
CUSTOMIZED CARE PLAN
Our clinical nursing manager will meet with you and your family, at your convenience, in your home, the hospital, a retirement home, or in our offices. Together, a customized care plan is created. This plan incorporates all elements of importance and reflects your care team’s objectives.
